Notes for Women June 2 – Stokey Litfest
We couldn’t be more pleased that Chorus of Dissent & the Elastic band are presenting their Notes for Women concert at St Matthias Church as part of Stoke Newington Literary Festival.
The concert features the world premiere of Miss Haslam’s Views on Windows from the Alphabetical Arboretum of Abney based on the life of a suffragette buried in Abney Park Cemetery. It was commissioned from composer and singer CLARA SANABRAS who will be performing with them.
They also promise a lovely eclectic programme of music written by, for and about women, from Lili Boulanger to Vivaldi, via Winehouse and Sanabras.
Cash bar and doors 5pm, concert 5.30pm.
