Mikado sell out

Delighted to report that the costumed final rehearsal of Charles Court Opera’s The Mikado in St Matthias Hall was a complete sell-out.
The exclusive matinee showcased one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most popular operas before CCO took it on their summer tour. “It was exuberantly funny. World class entertainment right on my doorstep” said local resident Gill Murphy.
CCO spent two weeks rehearsing in our hall before the performance, which is now becoming a popular practice space for music and arts. “The hall is a great size with good lighting (both natural and electric) and complete with piano and kitchen” says Director John Savournin. “It is also unique in being in a quiet area, with good local amenities AND near good transport connections, which are all big pluses. Very helpful staff too!”
*CCO are coming back to rehearse for King Tut – this year’s boutique Christmas panto for which they have become famous. There’ll be a final rehearsal performance on 19 November. Keep your eye on this space for ticket details…
